Overall prevalence of overweight and obesity |

In England in 2006, around 43% of men and 32% of women were overweight (a BMI of 25-30 kg/m2), and an additional 24% of men and 24% of women were obese (a BMI of more than 30 kg/m2).
Central obesity was also common among adults in England. In 2006, data show that around 32% of men and 41% of women had central obesity. |
